There are continually new programs being developed for new mothers with infants and young children.

An old favourite, Parent-Child “Mother Goose” is an interactive literacy-based program for children ages birth to four years of age.  For the infants, 0 - 24 months, we have “Rock N’ Rhyme”  and for the older tots , ages 2 - 4, “Playtime Pals”.
Each series runs for 10 weeks, 1.5 hours per week, three times a year.

Additionally, we offer:

Infant Massage

Offered for new mothers with infants ages 2-6 months.  Number of spots is limited to encourage bonding among the participants. The session is taught alternately by our experienced staff, who have such good technique and delivery that they are requested by other resource centres in HRM.

Various workshops are offered individually or collaboratively by our Parenting Counselor and Early Childhood Educator, and other staff, including:

Play Workshop

Play is a child's work. As children play, they learn so much about themselves, about the world, and their place in it. Tips are shared to help parents assist their child to learn through play.

My 5 Senses

A learning workshop for parents and children, designed as a "sensory journey" exploring taste, smell, touch, sight, and sound.
